Main aim:

The aim of the project is to increase the transparency of the Council of public prosecutors to the public and improve the effectiveness and accountability of the institution through evidence-based policy recommendations.

Specific objective of the project:

SO 1: To increase the transparency and accountability of the Council of public prosecutors.

SO 2: To initiate debate on the issues and challenges of the legal framework and policies and find appropriate solutions for functioning of the Council for public prosecutors.

The following activities will be realized as part of the project: 

1. Organizing an expert debate about the challenges and issues of the implementation of the Law on public prosecutors and promote debate about possible solutions.
2. Following the open sessions and public announcements of the Council of public prosecutors’ office.
3. Development of policy paper with recommendations about the transparency, accountability and effectiveness of the Council of public prosecutors.
4. Workshop on improving the capacities for transparency and accountability of the Council.

Target groups:

Council of Public Prosecutors, public prosecutors, and legal experts.
