The overall aim of the project is recognition and action against discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity by national and local authorities, legal professionals and
citizens as well as increasing of the positive public perception of the LGBTI people by emphasizing the tolerance and acceptance.
The project has two specific objectives:
SO 1. To increase prevention against discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, to raise awareness for its existence and promoting tolerance and acceptance.
SO 2. To strengthen protection against discrimination mainly based on sexual orientation and gender identity into practice through establishing concrete case law
The project aims to achieve the following results:
Result 1. Raised awareness about sexual orientation and gender identity as grounds for determining discrimination;
Result 2. Increased tolerance and acceptance among people both online and offline;
Result 3. Trained professionals and persons who have faced discrimination;
Result 4. Established minimum case-law as ground for further proceedings in this area;
Result 5. Determined shortcomings and positive aspects of implementation of the new Law on prevention and protection against discrimination.
